Arturo “Art” Tapia-Minchez is a tenor, composer, and poet residing in Glassboro, New Jersey. Originally from Southern California, Art has performed with collegiate ensembles including The Riverside City College Chamber Singers, The University of Redlands Chapel Singers, and The Pomona College Choir. Since moving to the East Coast, he has joined The Philadelphia Symphonic Chorus as a rostered vocalist and now attends Rowan University as a Voice Performance and Composition double major.
Art’s creative life is deeply informed by spirituality, religion, interfaith curiosity, and his reconnection with Judaism. His work is guided by a hope to bring more religious diversity, LGBTQIA+ representation, inclusion, and multicultural awareness into the music world.
